Thanks to the vision of Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal, edgy contemporary art from the Middle East and beyond has been welcomed in Dubai. Alserkal, a local developer and arts patron, transformed a large warehouse in Al Quoz - a dusty area - into a culturally vibrant campus. This campus includes a theater, an independent cinema, cafes and even a chocolate factory.
